Financial Statement
An individual project for my financial accounting class. I was given a set of belonged to ABC(imaginary)corporation. The data included various transactions and other operating and financing information from the corporation within a given fiscal year. My task was to prepare a financial statement. To complete this project, I followed the accounting steps (journal entries, general ledger, Trial balance,etc) , and then prepared a complete financial statement at the end.
Business Proposal
A team project for the Advanced Business Communication(3310) class. Every team had to perform a research about an existing problem in the Dallas Forth Worth area and then propose a solution for that problem in form of a business proposal. Our team decided to work on the air pollution issue in the DFW. Our proposal included a science fair event held by Toyota at the local high schools and funded by the company itself and Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Our focus was mostly on reducing the air pollution in the future by educating the younger generation about the issue and familiarizing them with today's modern and clean technology such as the ones used in making the electric cars. To accomplish our goal, our team put a great amount of effort into researching, analyzing, and developing key ideas needed to design a well-organized solution for our selected problem.
Security Analysis Competition
A team competition run by the Financial Leadership Association. The teams were given a group of companies in the fashion and clothing industry and each team had to select one company and evaluate the its stock based on a forecast derived from the company’s past operating and financing records. After that, the team had to decide whether investing in that specific company would be a good decision or not. Our team performed its research on the “Under Armor” company. To evaluate the company’s stock, we used CAPM along with a discounted free cash flow analysis as well as financial statement projection. We also performed a complete ratio analysis and a industrial research in order to improve the accuracy of our forecast.
